The Petal Pusher Cap is built on the same design as the Sidekick Cap, with the same shorter brim, offset pull-down earband, and classic Stormy Kromer construction. The difference is its signature wool flower, which adds a fun, eye-catching look.
-
Yes. The wool flower is removable, allowing you to change the look of your cap. With the flower removed, the Petal Pusher has the same classic silhouette as the Sidekick Cap. Just keep in mind that the three flower petals are separate pieces rather than sewn together, so take care not to misplace them when removing or reattaching the flower.

The Petal Pusher Cap is designed for cold-weather comfort, but how warm it feels depends on the person and the conditions. Wool provides natural warmth while remaining breathable, making it a great choice for cool to cold weather. If you regularly spend extended time outdoors in extreme cold, consider one of our insulated styles or hats with longer earbands for additional warmth.
-
Just like the Original Stormy Kromer Cap, the Petal Pusher's earband pulls down to provide extra warmth when you need it. Simply slide your thumb between the earband and the cap, then pull it down over your ears. There's no need to untie or unfold anything. The tie is positioned to the side, but the earband functions exactly the same.
-
For most people, the Petal Pusher Cap's earband covers about one-half to two-thirds of the ear. Because everyone's head shape and ear placement are different, coverage will vary. If you're looking for more coverage or added warmth in extreme cold, Stormy Kromer also offers styles with longer earbands and additional insulation.
-
Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Petal Pusher Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

Just received my Petal Pusher Cap from store in Ludington Michigan. Didn't have my size when I shopped there last week so she kindly ordered me one. Got My black hat with white and black flower today and wore it tonite to walk the dog. LOVED IT. So warm and like the ear flaps. Love that it is made in the US Of A. Especially Michigan. Yea. -becca

I absolutely love this hat. I have the charcoal with the pink trim and flower. No matter where I wear this cap - I receive compliments and people asking me where I bought it. The most fun is when husbands ask if it is the same SK that they have - + the flower! BUY IT, you won't regret it!!!!! -Petoskey Fan!

I'm a BIG hat wearer. I wear them daily. I received a my Stormy Kromer Petal Pusher hat last fall, and I can probably count on my 2 hands how many days I HAVEN'T worn it! It is by far my favorite hat. One of the things I love best is that it's so cute that I can wear it with almost anything. I can wear it with jeans or when I'm dressed a little nicer. As the weather is starting to warm up, for the first time in my life, I am actually a bit sad to see winter leave. Not because I like the snow and cold, but because it means I have to put my hat away for the summer! You can guarantee I will be purchasing one of the spring SK hats! At least I now have a reason not to dread the end of the summer. Next fall, I plan to buy the petal pusher in the pink and grey! -Lesley

I am NOT a hat person, but needed something to put on when taking my helmet off when snowmobiling. I had tried other caps, but looked like a dork in all of them till now....I love this cap. I have gotten numerous compliments on it and when I have worn it outdoors, it is so warm. Pulling the band over the ears is such a plus on cold, windy days. I wear it proudly! It is so stylish, feminine, great color combinations too. I give it an A+++++ and then some :) -Maude

I absolutely love both of my Petal Pusher Kromers!! I wear one everyday in the winter and I think I get at least one compliment a day on it. I pity those walking around with cold heads and no fashion sense. Such quality craftsmanship that is really made in Michigan! -Gretchie

My husband has two SK caps that he's been wearing about five years. I had no idea they made caps for women until I saw SK's FB page, and I was sold. The petal pusher is a perfectly feminine version of his manly hat; warm and rugged (I wear it ice fishing, snowshoeing, etc) and absolutely darling (looks great with my down vest AND my nice wool coat). I have the charcoal/pink version, and it is more adorable in real life than on this page, if you can believe it. My head size falls just between the two sizes, so I ordered up. The band fits perfectly, with no pressure behind my ears (where so many hats put pressure and give me headaches). The visor actually keeps snow off my glasses, and cuts down on sun/snow glare! The cap part is a little big, but it allows me to snug it down on my head, and tuck the tips of my ears inside, without pulling the flap down. This feature is great for me, living in MN and subzero Jan/Feb windchills, but some people may not like wearing hats this way. My husband's says his hats fit and look better the longer he wears them, and I'm sure it will be the same with mine. I'm happy to leave my stocking caps behind! They always smooshed my hair down and never looked all that great anyway. I am thrilled with my functional AND pretty purchase. -SarahB
