Frequently Asked Questions

The Petal Pusher Cap is built on the same design as the Sidekick Cap, with the same shorter brim, offset pull-down earband, and classic Stormy Kromer construction. The difference is its signature wool flower, which adds a fun, eye-catching look.
-
Yes. The wool flower is removable, allowing you to change the look of your cap. With the flower removed, the Petal Pusher has the same classic silhouette as the Sidekick Cap. Just keep in mind that the three flower petals are separate pieces rather than sewn together, so take care not to misplace them when removing or reattaching the flower.
-
The Petal Pusher Cap is designed for cold-weather comfort, but how warm it feels depends on the person and the conditions. Wool provides natural warmth while remaining breathable, making it a great choice for cool to cold weather. If you regularly spend extended time outdoors in extreme cold, consider one of our insulated styles or hats with longer earbands for additional warmth.
-
Just like the Original Stormy Kromer Cap, the Petal Pusher's earband pulls down to provide extra warmth when you need it. Simply slide your thumb between the earband and the cap, then pull it down over your ears. There's no need to untie or unfold anything. The tie is positioned to the side, but the earband functions exactly the same.
-
For most people, the Petal Pusher Cap's earband covers about one-half to two-thirds of the ear. Because everyone's head shape and ear placement are different, coverage will vary. If you're looking for more coverage or added warmth in extreme cold, Stormy Kromer also offers styles with longer earbands and additional insulation.
-
Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Petal Pusher Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

I'm just gonna start out by saying I don't usually look very good in hats. However, I have recently become a proud owner of my first Stormy Kromer cap! While shopping at a store in northern Minnesota, this cute gray cap with a pink flower caught my eye. I tried it on and fell in love with it, plus it actually looked cute -Karen C

I received my Petal Pusher as a Christmas gift. I love the style, fit, and color (grey and pink). In 2 weeks, I've gotten more complements than I can count (and I think I may have sold a few to my friends)! -kef125

I luv my Stormy Petal Pusher. I'm a sucker for the Made in America segment on ABCnews. Last year, the DH and I decided to buy each other Made in America gift. This was it!. He saw a dude wearing the bright orange one in the Christkindl market on our annual Xmas trip downtown. Said, "that's the hat". Has been looking for one for years. Followed the guy to find out name on the cap. Well, must have been a good girl, cuz Santa got me my own. Our DDs get their own this year cuz they keep stealing mine. Kromer peeps, gotta sell the ladies caps at more retail stores! Cabelas, LLBean, etc only carry dude caps. Lots of compliments, always asked where did I get it. Comfortable, forget you are wearing it. Wool usu. makes me itch, but with inner lining, it's perfect! -Chicago winter fan

I never can find a hat that looks good on my head. That is, until now! We happened to be at Franks Great Outdoors in Linwood, MI., my first time here. As I was walking towards the back of the store this hat caught my eye. As with all hats I was expecting this one to be a failure too. I tried it on and to my surprise this cute little number looked wonderful on me. I quickly met up with my husband to get his thoughts. He loved it. Then I looked at the price. I was not expecting this hat to be $40+. So I sat it back down and picked up a different color :) Yup, this one is cute too! Oh look, made in Michigan! Well, since I live in Michigan I felt it my duty to support Michigan made products. I became the proud owner of this lovely hat. When I am in public I receive many compliments. I have even started the Stormy Kromer trend at work! I will be purchasing another one so I can wear it after snowmobiling. This hat seems to make any hot mess, cute! I hope you enjoy your hat as much as I do! -Rosebud
