I first heard of your company on a local michigan travel show on pbs , in the summer. I neeeded a new winter hat, and was tired of the same old knit hats, and stocking hats, and hoods, ect... on the market. After watching the show, and exploring your web site, I knew I had to try one. I dropped hints for a christmas surprise, but my wife didn't know my hat size. she told me on christmas she wants to get me a kromer. We found a local retailer, and two days after christmas, on a cold, snowy, michigan december day, I walked out of the store wearing my first kromer. All the reviews are spot on. I bought the original, and it is so soft, and comfortable, and light, that you forget it's on your head. Yet it is so warm!! I tried on a rancher and know that it will be my next kromer for hunting...super hot in a store, so I know it would be perfect for staying out all day on a cold michigan deer hunt. Comfort and quality, best of all, made in the usa and my home state... how can i not support that!!! I'm also looking at the mackinaw jacket. after seeing a story of the stormy kromer co. on a local pbs mi. travel show, I just knew I had to have one. Quality,made in the usa, and made in my home state to boot! the winters in any part of mi. are unpredictable, and you have to be prepared for 50 deg. to 10 below! I watched that show this summer, now it's christmas and my head is cold. my wife wanted to surprise me for christmas, I had mentioned it , and dropped hints , but she didn't know my hat size to order one and surprise me. so today , on a cold , snowy december day we went to get my first stormy. I walked out of the ann arbor store into the cold, snowy weather , wearing one for the first time. no better way to put it to the test ! all the reviews are true. I just got back from a 20 degree afternoon with blowing snow with my new Original Stormy Kromer on. All I can say is WOW. I've been chasing birds for about 20 years and have gone through a lot of "stocking hats" and never have I had this much warmth and comfort combined. i've had my kromer now for a year now, and would like to say i love it! i'm not a "hat guy" but i couldn't wait for colder weather to wear it again. comfortable right from the start, and the ear flaps work perfect to block that cold and wind. i just went and bought my second one, a waxed cotton for the "not so cold" days.thanks for making such great caps! -lttle jimmy

I have often found my self pulling a "boggin" down over my ballcap. Being a traditional ballcap wearer, I have been unable to locate a good winter hat with a brim until now. My new Stromy Kromer Original was on my head less than 5 minutes from leaving the store and in late December in the mountains of Western NC that is just where it needed to be.
