The Equinox Cap

The Equinox Cap builds on the Sidekick design with added warmth and ear coverage. Both feature the same wool crown and shorter brim, but the Equinox has a longer sherpa-lined earband to better protect your ears in colder weather.

The Equinox Cap is designed for the days when one of our traditional caps isn't quite enough, but an insulated crown is more than you need. Its longer sherpa-lined earband provides additional coverage while the uninsulated crown keeps it comfortable through changing conditions.

Use a soft tape measure to measure around your head where you like your hat to sit. Divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8. This is your Stormy Kromer hat size. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler. Please remember that these hats generally do not stretch over time. If your measurement falls between sizes, or if you prefer a looser fit, we recommend sizing up.

Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Equinox Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.
